
Hyderabad: GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad, has announced admissions for its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the academic year 2026–27. Marking a significant academic milestone, the University has also launched GITAM School of Education, further expanding its multidisciplinary learning ecosystem.
The Hyderabad campus has introduced several new programmes this year, including 4 years integrated B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. under the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP), BBA (Entrepreneurship) in association with the Bower School of Entrepreneurship, B.Sc. Microbiology, M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.Tech. Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, and M.Pharm. in Industrial Pharmacy (under approval from PCI). These additions reflect GITAM’s commitment to aligning education with emerging industry trends and societal needs.
A distinctive feature of GITAM is its Liberal Education framework, which enables students to combine majors and minors across disciplines, creating personalized academic pathways. This approach allows learners to gain both depth and breadth of knowledge while developing future-ready skills.
Admissions are open through GAT 2026, as well as through recognized national and state-level entrance examinations, including TG & AP EAPCET, NCET, NATA, JEE, CUET, CAT, and others. Highly meritorious Students can avail scholarships of up to 100% covering tuition fees, food, and accommodation based on merit and performance in qualifying examinations.
The GITAM Admission Test (GAT 2026), a national-level entrance examination conducted by the University, is scheduled for June 28, 2026, in online mode across India. The last date to apply is June 26, 2026.
The Hyderabad campus offers programmes through its Schools of Technology, Science, Business, Humanities and Social Sciences, Architecture, Pharmacy, Public Policy and the newly established School of Education. Academic offerings span emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, Pharmacy, Architecture, Psychology, Economics, Media Studies, and Teacher Education.
