
Bengaluru February 6 Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah , Cabinet Ministers MB Patil , Ramalinga Reddy and Congress leader Randeep Surjewala have been fined Rs. 10 thousand fined. Four people were ordered to appear in the People’s Court. CM Sidda Ramaiah on March 6 , Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy on March 7 , Congress Karnataka in-charge Randeep Surjewala on March 11 and Industries Minister MB Patil on March 16 have said to appear in the court. Congress leaders including the current CM participated in the program organized in April 2022 demanding the arrest of the then minister KS Eshwarappa in the case of contractor Santosh Patil’s suicide. The contractor Santosh Patil was a resident of Belagavi. He committed suicide in a hotel in Udupi. However , he alleged that Eshwarappa demanded a commission for his work. However , Eshwarappa denied the allegations and filed a defamation case against him. The then Congress leaders protested that the minister should resign in the contractor’s suicide case. Congress leaders including DK Shivakumar were arrested by the police when they tried to go towards the then CM Basavaraj Bommai’s residence.
